Q: How does the Run the Ridge Virtual Challenge work?
A: Between  May 25th and  September 1st, you can earn your miles by running, walking, swimming, biking, paddling, or even turning your strength training into miles! Just log your distances through your RunSignUp Profile from your phone or computer.
Q: Why is a challenge more than just a regular race?
A: Because this isn't a sprint, it's a marathon of motivation! You’re investing in 100 days of accountability and encouragement to keep yourself active!
Q: Do I have to run to join in on the Run the Ridge fun?
A: Absolutely not! This is your personal challenge: walk, run, bike, paddle, row, dance, or transform your strength training into mileage! Use this challenge to get moving and train for that live race you’ve been thinking about!
Q: Do I have to log miles everyday?
A: No, but logging miles daily helps you chart your progress over time and can motivate you on days when you don’t necessarily feel like exercising…it happens to all of us. Feel free to group your activities by type (run/walk, ride, swim, etc.) and log them all at once. While this won't allow you to earn your consecutive day milestone badges, you will still get the other badges.
Q:  I see people posting pictures of where they are on the map. How do I do that?
A:This has got to be one of our favorite features of our virtual events. Follow along HERE and we’ll show you how. 
Q: Can I count my daily steps?
A: We suggest logging only those dedicated exercise hours. So, no,  getting up to get a snack from the refrigerator doesn’t count. The goal is for regular, intentional movement and to build healthy habits.
Q: If I sign up for the 500-mile Challenge but want to switch to 300 miles, can I do that?
A: YES!   Life happens, and we’re here for you. Just shoot an email to  renee@racefullsend.com or wendy@racefullsend.com, and we’ll shift your mileage without making you log your miles all over again.
Q: How do the results work?  Who's the winner?
A: It’s not a race, it’s a challenge. Rankings are based on who covered the greatest distance in each challenge (100 miles, 300 miles, etc.). Time is just for your own bragging rights at the end. The real win? Getting from A to B and cheering on others.
Q: What goodies will I get for participating?
A: You’ll  get a finisher medal and any additional swag items that you choose at check-out  sent right to your doorstep (shipping is free and we let you choose if you would like to add on apparel items.)  Plus, you can print your virtual bib to show off on race kickoff day!  And don’t forget those virtual badges for completing milestones and the Finisher’s Certificate at the end of the challenge.
Q: When will I get my swag?
A: All of your goodies will be mailed out around mid-July and we will keep you informed about when to expect your swag.
Q: Can I create or join a team after registering?
A: YES!  We love team spirit! Team Captains can add new members, or send an email to  renee@racefullsend.com or wendy@racefullsend.com  if you need extra help! 
Q: Do we earn rewards for referring friends?
A: Absolutely! But, they must use your personal referral link. Get yours HERE.
